When and where?
From June 14th till June 16th at Majvik, which is situated about 25 km west of Helsinki and 30 km south-west of Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. The seminar will begin and finish with lunch. The lectures will begin on Friday at 13:30 and finish on Sunday at about 12, when the lunch begins.

What is the seminar fee?
The seminar fee is EUR 290 per person in a double room and EUR 320 in a single room. There is a limited amount of single rooms. Budget alternatives are to share a smaller room with an extra comfortable chair bed for EUR 260 per person or that four persons share a big room for EUR 240 each. All fees include accommodation and meals, and they have to be paid beforehand. If you want to arrange your accommodation elsewhere the seminar fee is EUR 180 (140 without the gala dinner). You have anyway to register and pay the fee to your own journalist organization.
How do I register for the seminar?
Sign up with the freelance journalist organization in your country before Monday 29th of April. There is a limited amount of single rooms, so we really wish that participants choose other kinds of rooms. The organizers in Finland will then receive collective enrolments from each country. In May you will get an email with a link for registration. During week 19 and 20 you will be able to choose between parallel sessions, state your arrival details, inform about possible allergies, give the name of a possible roommate etc. Don’t forget to register before Sunday midnight 19th of May!
How do I get to Majvik?
Please see transport. We will have a free coach from the airport and from Helsinki city centre to the seminar on Friday morning at about 11 o’clock and another back on Sunday after lunch (to the centre and to the airport) at about 13 o’clock. There are also good public transport possibilities.
What language will be used?
English will be the working language of the seminar, although some lecture can be held in Swedish.
Anything in particular I should bring?
Party clothes for the Saturday dinner. A pair of good shoes for outdoor activities. Bathing suit for the swimming pool or sea. Remember to bring your press card with you on the excursions on Saturday for free entry to the Hvitträsk museum.
